How To Stop Jumping

Not only is jumping on people rude, obnoxious, and not a good mental place for the dog to be in--it can actually cause very serious injury! There are many techniques given for teaching a dog not to jump that take a long time to work, if they even work at all. The most effective way to stop an unwanted behavior is through delivering a proper punishment. This is done in a way that is brief, matter-of-fact, and neutral, involving no emotion, anger or frustration. This teaches the dog what is not allowed, and makes expectations clear. Jumping is a major problem that you don't have to struggle with! Stopping jumping is actually not something you have to be "working on"...with the right tools, you simply put a stop to it...immediately! We do it all the time with our clients.
