Every 2 - 3 years when we get our septic tank emptied, I have to switch the flow of the runoff between our two septic drain fields (aka - leach fields).
The first time I lifted the lid off the switch point and saw these two pipes sticking out of the ground, I wasn't sure what to do with them.
After searching around for answers on the internet with no success, I finally called a septic installer and had him walk me through what I had to do.
Since I had such a hard time figuring it out, I thought I'd put together this quick walkthrough. If you have an alternating bed septic system with a septic diverter that looks anything like this, hopefully, this will help you figure out what to do. Good luck!
