People are used to modern self-updating software. Shotcut is retro and also has a static portable version which too has no self-update. This fantastic free video editor needs to be updated manually when you use the free version and here's how to do it. I recommend the zip version (because there are many updates throughout the year but it makes sense to keep old versions around).
