How To Weld Studs To Plate

welding studs into plate isn't really that hard to do. I got asked by a subscriber to show how to weld studs into plate for mounting flangeplates to another plate. The subscriber was asking how to do it with stick welding but I don't have my stick welder set up currently so I used mig welding studs. To start off i drilled two 3/8" holes into a piece of flat bar to simulate the plate. I then drilled one of the two holes partially bigger to give a bevel in the plate to make the weld have more surface are to weld to. I then also cut the head off of a bolt and beveled it to go into the hole we just beveled. and got everything mocked up and tacked everything and welded it. After that I welded the normal bolt into it to show how that is done. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In case you are new to my channel.
