Hoyt String Length: How to find it
Learn where to find the string and cable lengths on your Hoyt compound bow. Hoyt bows are one of the most important brands to have your string & cable lengths for. Most Hoyt's come with a few different cam numbers. The different numbers have different lengths. There a few ways to get this information: There could possibly be a sticker on your bow with all of the information on it. The STR - would be your string. The CC - would be your control cable & the BC would be your buss cable. You could have an older Hoyt which will just have an STR & BC. There could possibly be (2) lengths listed after BC. Your longer of the 2 lengths is your control cable & the sorter is your buss. If you don't have a sticker on your bow you can give the builder your model & cam number. What if you're not sure what your cam number is??? No worries, you'll see a series of numbers & letters embossed in your cam. By providing this information along with your bows model, your lengths can be pulled. If you want to be certain of the lengths, you can always give Hoyt a call & ask them for additional information. Something that we see frequently with Hoyt's is cam switching. Hoyt bows are so interchangeable that it can happen & you won't even realize it if you've purchased the bow 2nd hand. Giving your string builder as much information as possible is imperative to prevent you from receiving the wrong bow string.
