HP Ink Tank 310, 410 Printers - 'E3' Error (Carriage Jam)
This document is for HP Ink Tank 310, 311, 315, 316, 318, 319, Wireless 410, 411, 412, 415, 416, 418, and 419 printers.
The printhead carriage stalls, the control panel displays an alternating E and 3, and the Resume light blinks. A paper jam might have occurred previously.
Step 1: Look for jammed paper
Step 2: Make sure the carriage moves freely
Step 3: Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet
Step 4: Reset the printer
Step 5: Service the printer
but the problem is encorder strip !!!
