Human Intelligence or Artificial Intelligence?

Much of what is being discussed about AI development can be compared with the rise of Big Tech, particularly including the internet, mobile phones and social media. I believe that I am able to make useful commentary due to my background in telecommunications and computing. The latter includes computer science and also robotics. I have been reading about AI since the early eighties and have maintained an interest ever since. I consider that I understand the implications of the ongoing development of AI, including the competition between Big Tech companies, governments and also the geopolitical perspective. Although not an expert, I am reasonably up to date with the issues being debated at this level. My goal is to be able to explain all of the above to the ‘man in the street’, who may not be aware of the wider issues and how it will eventually affect everybody. Whichever way you look at it, the world is changing and a major driver of that change will be AI.
