Bert Heemskerk, legal scholar and a life full of music. Started violin lessons and singing in boys' choir at the age of 8 — now 80 years ago! Later interned in the organist program at the Amsterdam Conservatory and was a church organist for 10 years. Fond memories of musical highlights such as: performing in Mahler IV at the Concertgebouw; participating in the Scratch Orchestra in Leiden; singing Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall in London; various accompaniments of the St. Matthew Passion. Now mainly focused on chamber music
Robert Roth is the author of Book of Pieces, Health Proxy, Transatlanticism: New York--Copenhagen (written with Jens Magnussen), No End in Sight and La soñadora y el agente (written with Myrna Nieves). Robert is also co-creator of And Then magazine. He is based in New York.
The music for “Human Loss" was written by Hendrik van Oordt. He also put together the video. He lives in Amsterdam.
