I read Chapter 6 of Hunt, Gather, Parent by Michaeleen (MY-cah-leen) Doucleff, which discusses the effect of praise on children and their siblings, as well as ideas on how to motivate children.
A couple of notes: "Acomedido" means something like "self-motivated helpfulness" but as an adjective. Chan Kajaal is a pseudonym for a village that the author visits. And Rosy is the author's three and a half year old daughter.
