To model a watershed in HydroCAD, users need to define the physical characteristics of the area, including the land use types, the topography, and the soils. HydroCAD includes a range of built-in data sets for different regions, or users can create their own data sets based on local information. Once the physical characteristics are defined, users can set up a rainfall event, which can be either a single storm event or a long-term climate model.
