This video shows the assembly of the mold egg-crate structure from the CNC-cut parts for the MIT Hyperloop 2 shell tooling. After the egg-crate assembly, I rip some (lots of!) poplar strips and strip-plank the mold dry. Finally the strips are glued together with thickened epoxy and given an initial fairing job with a grinder and some 36 grit sandpaper.
