i-Arch: torque delivery in the early stage of the treatment: now is possible with this innovative archwire. THE PROBLEM: The current Straight-Wire prescriptions recommend an archwires sequence, delivering only two of the necessary information (Tip and Alignment), creating a tilt of the crowns buccally, often excessive, and reducing the level of cortical bone marginal. What’s i-Arch? i-Arch is an orthodontic approach that a uses new archwires that allows to deliver the torque since the beginning using very low forces and also to reduce the treatment time. I-Arch system uses the rectangular wire since the beginning of the treatment (alignment and leveling phases) without using high forces. This is possible thanks to the particulalr archwire shape and to the material that archwire is made of. THE SOLUTION: i-Arch is a system of archwires that allows to obtain several clinical advantages, among which: proper biological action with application of light forces, reduction of unwished forces, reduction of treatment times. Using i-Arch we eliminate all those parasites movements that we would have with the traditional approach, therefore many procedures that would have been necessary to recover the anchorage, such as Lace-back, Tie-back now are no longer necessary, simplifying the clinical protocol.
