I Built a Multi Use Angle Plate
I built this multi-use angle plate to solve a simple problem: my mill column is fixed at 90 degrees for rigidity, but I still needed a reliable way to machine at an angle. What started as a basic angle plate quickly turned into a much more versatile tool. It can be used as: 1. An adjustable angle plate 2. A fixture plate with locating pins 3. A rotary table mount 4. A quick setup solution without constant tramming The goal was to create one tool that instead of several, sets up quickly, and is rigid enough for real cutting work. If a tool is easy to use, it gets used. And that’s what makes it worth building.
