This project is designed as a compact, efficient, and reliable backup power solution for home and workshop use. This UPS features two AC output sockets, a 12V battery level indicator, an AC voltmeter and ammeter display, a cooling fan, and a main power switch for safe and stable operation. The ampere meter coil was not working correctly, so I separated and modified the current sensing coil to fix the measurement issue. MAIN FEATURES 500W inverter / UPS output 12V LiFePO4 battery system with 30A 4S LiFePO4 BMS Two AC output sockets Battery level indicator for 12V system AC voltmeter and ammeter display Cooling fan for thermal management Main power switch Clear acrylic enclosure for a clean and modern design CHARGING SYSTEM For charging, I used a 4S lithium battery charger module that supports: USB Type-C input 5V input 12V DC input I also added a 12V input socket and a 5V regulator to safely power the 4S charger module. This makes the UPS flexible and easy to charge from multiple power sources. BATTERY AND PROTECTION Battery: 12V LiFePO4 (4S configuration) Protection: 30A 4S LiFePO4 BMS The BMS handles overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, and voltage protection. ENCLOSURE AND MECHANICAL PARTS The enclosure is made from clear acrylic, giving the project a clean and professional appearance while keeping the internal parts visible. For screws, mechanical parts, and components, I used JLCMC. If you are building a higher-power inverter or UPS, JLCMC aluminum enclosures are also a good option due to their better heat dissipation compared to plastic cases.
