I CAUGHT A SQUID!

I went to the beautiful Leisure Isle to collect some bait and tried to catch a fish in the Knysna lagoon, ended up catching a squid instead. These are actually very common in the lagoon and often take imitation baits. I didn’t want to hurt the poor guy and wasn’t planning on getting ink on everything, so I let him be in the end. It was so good to be out fishing again on such a beautiful day in Knysna. Looking forward to the warmer months ahead which will hopefully produce some more fish.
