I Finally Caught Him!

Spend a peaceful morning with Jason at Cog Hill Farm as the daily farm chores begin while Brooke continues to recover from a cold. From feeding the horses, cows, pigs, and chickens to gathering a beautiful basket of fresh farm eggs, today’s morning routine is full of the simple moments that make farm life special. With cooler weather returning and a possible late frost on the way, we also check on the fruit orchard, apple trees, pear trees, blueberries, and calendula flowers to see how the warm Alabama temperatures have pushed everything into bloom. Jason even takes a ride in the Esso , the old 1971 farm truck ,to check the old country wisdom about pecan trees budding before it’s safe to plant the garden. Along the way we talk about farm life, animal behavior, and some surprising moments with the emus that happened earlier this week.
