I Got Blues

@ChristineJoyMusic-Art A song about a love one gone away & not knowing if he will ever return. The 14th song in my musical 'One Journey Of Love'. I wrote this song in 10 minutes during my lunch break while working at Thorn EMI Recording Studios 301 in Sydney (sister Studio to Abbey Road, UK) back in 1983 and later recorded it there with the help of the studio assistants at the time; Peter Cobin (F.R., Flute & Acc. Piano - became engineer, mainly orchestras, at Abbey Road, London), Leon Zervos (now award winning mastering engineer), Guy Gray (became International audio engineer - film scores) & my good friend Glen Phimister (International audio engineer - ex EMI Studios 301 & AIM, Sydney - now retired) who helped Guy, as training, to Engineer this song. Guy Pratt, Bass player of Robert Palmer Band also did some bass on it but his contribution was never mixed in it. I wrote some lyrics for Guy (Eating With Juanita) as payment. Originally it was a demo, that I have mixed & mastered for use now. I also do audio engineering on my own songs. I still have the original 24 track tape of it. Since I was the supervisor of Peter, Leon & Guy they all freely & kindly worked on this demo with me. I have added this song to my musical 'One Journey Of Love' as this song was written, at the time, about my ex-husband, who was also a musician & performer. The other songs written for ‘One Journey Of Love’ were done around 1998 when I wrote the script for the musical. All original lyrics, melody & vocal by Christine Joy (Lewis).
