Yesterday I dropped my first impressions on Blackmagic’s new autofocus for the Pyxis 6K.
Coming back to clean a few things up.
After spending more time with it, some of what I called out was honestly user error. Once I dialed in the settings, this performed very differently.
In this video I’m walking through what I’m actually seeing now with face tracking, continuous autofocus, and real-world use.
Still beta. Not perfect.
But this is a big step for Blackmagic.
Now the real question is… how far can they take this?
