I Was Wrong About Mouseless Workflows

I used to be part of the keyboard-only gang, the mouseless workflow cult, the “never touch the mouse” people. But after using Neovim, Kitty, tmux, yabai, macOS automation, terminals, clipboard managers, and tiling window managers for years, I realized something painful: sometimes using the mouse is just faster. In this video, I show practical real-world examples where a mouse-based workflow makes more sense than forcing everything through the keyboard. We look at copying values from the terminal into Excel, grabbing specific text from Neovim, pasting data into spreadsheets, and using Kitty’s “copy on select” feature to make the clipboard workflow faster. This is not about abandoning keyboard shortcuts, Neovim, or terminal workflows. It’s about knowing when the mouse is the better tool. I also show how this fits into my macOS productivity setup with Kitty terminal, Neovim, clipboard management, and Paste.
