Ice hovering, be safe!
Seamlessly transitioning back and forth between thin ice and water is one of the capabilities that make our hovercraft unique. However, it can also be extremely dangerous for an inexperienced pilot. Be safe this winter and happy hovering! **Disclaimer** These really nasty conditions were encountered while testing a newly completed Coastal Pro 2 hovercraft before delivery. It was in an area I am extremely familiar with, know exactly what to do, and exactly where to go if there is ever an emergency. I also wear a survival suit, with flotation, carry a personal locator beacon, and have emergency repair and recovery gear on board. Cold weather operation, especially with thin or broken ice conditions, can be deadly if there is an emergency and you're caught unprepared. Please, always think about safety before you go out and be prepared for worst case scenarios.
