The Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge is riddled with waterfalls between Hood River and Portland. In this video I run the Multnomah Falls - Devil's Rest loop, which is roughly 8 miles with about 2,500 ft of elevation gain. The route passes the following six waterfalls: Multnomah Falls, Dutchman Falls, Wiesendanger Falls, Ecola Falls, Fairy Falls, and Wahkeena Falls.
The trails are swarming with tourists of all types in the warmer months, but the traffic is generally low in winter months. Much of this late February 2022 run was snow covered and it was especially icy around the falls following a colder than typical week. Seeing the falls in a frosty winter condition was well worth getting out in the cold.
