Fall 2018 Second Place winners of the Muhammad Rashid Best Project Award at UWF's Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering. The project involves the design and prototyping of the mechanical systems in an underwater data collection device to allow for better wiring and reduced noise during operation. This was done by 3D printing a redesigned lower-housing and laser platform out of better materials, notably carbon fiber. Meanwhile, the system was modeled in Unity, a game engine, to simulate and debug the code before being put into practice. The project was a collaboration with the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC). Team Members: Andre Serafim, Murilo Basso, Harrison Payne, and Joseph Timbang with the help of faculty advisor Dr. Yazan Alqudah.
