Ikea Kitchen Renovation Part 2

In this Part 2 video I show how we cut out the sheetrock and installed Hardiebacker cement boards for our backsplash. I show how we hung the Ikea Sektion rails and then assembled and hung the Ikea Sektion cabinets. I show how we constructed the pony wall that supports our 10' island, and how we designed and built the four mini pony walls that reinforce the five Ikea cabinets that hold the fish tank. I wanted to show what it was like for us, and maybe encourage some of you to take on your own kitchen renovation. There is great satisfaction in doing things yourself, especially in your home. We are not experts, but we’re sure happy with the results. We are not telling you how to do things - just showing how we did our renovation.
