"I'm all bare" 2020

This is a performance idea for my Fineart Level 6 work of which if my degree show was still occurring would be performed on the opening night to set a canvas for some poppet doll sculptures I have created. Within this film the performer is bare, showing vulnerability meanwhile placing lipstick upon her hands, wiping it on the ground and then the remnants upon herself. The placement the remnants of the lipstick upon her skin would be in all the places they beauty industry has made us women feel insecure about our bodies. The movements of the wiping the lipstick and mascara upon the floor is mainly circular and abrupt movements to connotate to ritual performances is when they cast spells. Alongside this performance would be an almost spell by recording sound saying the makeup products, "Primer, foundation, powder, bronzer, lipstick, highlight, eyebrows, eyeliner, mascara and setting spray." but in Latin, stating, "deprimario, fundamenta, pulveris, bronzer, labria sastra;palus, caleo, supercilli, oculus linea, convallis, suadendque cadentia infundere vores." This is so it sounds as though a spell is being cast and the movements coincide within this. The model is over 18
