I thought life would be different, And I didn't sign up for this. I know I deserved better, But fate conspired against me. There are many others, who had dreamt big, But somehow we are the ones to pay the price, For the sins of others. For all of us dreamt big, we had courage and we fought. We dreamt to be free and to live in peace, But one rude mistake and we killed our senses. Others sin, and we pay the price. For the greedy, a little won't suffice. For today, honor and pride are sold openly. If you cannot afford, The fate slams you suddenly. Those up there are out of touch with reality, Fed by their sycophants who swear fealty. Brutality is the new norm, The goals are same, But different is the form. You struggle, survive and little, While they play with money and belittle. Life was good back then, when family was close and you had friends. We had little but we were happy. Somehow that happiness has disappeared and the longing for it always haunts. Wish, I had a different life, far from the rush and the noise. For the chirping of birds and the cool breeze, are somethings money can't buy. At times I feel like quitting and rushing back, Living a short but fulfilling life. Before we lived and now we survive, Sometimes I think, how long before we are really alive. Living lonely is a hard task, and all I wanted was peace, not much to ask. I never knew that games they play would affect us so much. In fact I realise our lives are influenced as such. All I want is one big change, a reset to 180 degree. So that, things get in order and we can be free. I know many feel the way I do, Pity that many are like caged beasts in a zoo. Wish we all had that courage for a fight back, Perhaps then life would have changed, if we launched an attack. Daily doldrums start sapping you, Irritation becomes natural and you lose your mind. Anger, rage and the willingness to kill rules your mind, But you fight back for you're of clean heart. You are startled by the lack of compassion and the stark selfishness. But amidst all this chaos, you still seek to walk with honour. The place I'm from defines me. I grew up with nature and its teachings. Never will I be unjust for I know how it feels. My life would have been different, if only justice had prevailed. I implore you, to dispense justice, to take away power from the unjust and to restore order. Chaos has consumed us and turned us evil. Your creations are Hell bent on killing and vanishing. I implore you for divine intervention, for we are mere mortals
