Improve 7 Segment LED Display With Simple Trick

Ever wondered, how to make 7 segment LED display more readable? Here is a simple trick that I like to use. If there is a chance that the display will be used in sunlight, I think it would be better to use lighter tint. Window tint/film can be bough quite cheaply, but for this application you may even be able to get it for free. If you know someone who tints car windows, ask for scrap film pieces.
