Improved Lazy Load Images During the final checks on the new AI Discover Hub site we discovered that the placeholder image for the videos looked terrible on some mobile devices, particularly Android. Now here on one of the posts, you can see the placeholder image that is lazy loaded. It goes away and is replaced by the video’s real cover image when you press the play button. Now I never saw the issue because the image looks fine on desktop and my iPhone and iPad. So, thank goodness for my developer doing checks across multiple devices and orientations. Now that placeholder image is supplied by WP Fastest Cache for lazy loading the iframe I use for my video embeds. I contacted Emre at WP Fastest Cache and he made a fix for it right away. That fix will be in an upcoming update of the plugin soon. Now if you’re ready to use the best caching optimization plugin on the planet to get your site super speedy, see my WP Fastest Cache Settings tutorial over on BlogAid.
