See more videos like this: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLacwAD_DGbZWgYpNHBycpFS5iodWEiask I recently posted 2 videos showing wearable sensors driving motion in a musculoskeletal model. I highlighted how these sensors could be taken into the wild (literally), and how the model could quickly inform on muscle force generation capability. This video shows how wearable sensors can be used in the workplace to monitor ergonomics and postural adaptations. I took the analysis further than in the previous videos, investigating active muscle force and resultant joint loading. Muscle force is indicated as the blue lines change to red in the model. Because our muscles are so close to our joints, even bending forward with no additional load than the weight of the head can result in large compressive loads in the neck. Use this video as a gentle reminder to set up your workstations to encourage good posture!
