There is a difference between wired (USB) serial port and a wireless one. The wired is bi-directional full duplex. Wireless are usually bi-directional half-duplex. And that, when combined with much lower speeds of wireless serial links, can lead to problems. INAV Configurator has an option that greatly improves flight controller connectivity when wireless links like Bluetooth, LoRa or Express LRS Airport is used.
It's called the “Wireless mode” and it optimizes the message queue to send next MSP frame only when response to the previous one was received.
