Un giorno a Vava'u, Regno di Tonga. Kurt, il poprietario del piccolo hotel dove stavo passando qualche giorno, mi invita fuori a pesca con lui e suo figlio Keith, a cui vuole insegnare la pesca d'altura. E mentre Keith lotta con un quintale di marlin, ecco che una balena pilota viene proprio sotto il "Boston Whaler" su cui ci trovavamo, e si mette a cantare per la barca! :-) E poi leggo della strage di queste meravigliose creature alle Far Øer, e mi chiedo come sia possibile essere così gretti, insensibili, o semplicemente stupidi. :-( One day in Vava'u, Kingdom of Tonga. Kurt, the owner of the small hotel where I'm spending a few days, invites me to a fishing trip with him and his son Keith, to whom he wants to teach the secrets of deep-sea fishing. And just when Keith is fighting a 100 Kg marlin, a pilot whale comes right under the "Boston Whaler" we were in and starts singing for the boat! :-) And then I hear of the slaughter of these wonderful creatures in the Far Øer, and I wonder how is it possible to be so petty, insensitive, or plain stupid. :-(
