We are no strangers to camping during a hurricane. In this instance we headed west and away from the Atlantic Ocean. We only saw a minimal effects of the storm. The weather was cool and windy, but for once we avoided the rain. We rode, we ate, my Panhead caught fire, fueled by fumes made it to the gas station, and we rode some more. We covered the asphalt trails of western ma, up into Vermont on the scenic route 100. I estimate it was about a 400-500 mile weekend and my 68 year old machine ran flawlessly.
