More experiments with the induction cooker. Waveforms on my oscilloscope, figuring out how does it work. It seems to be a series resonant circuit driven above its resonant frequency by an IGBT halfbridge. It uses zero voltage switching (ZVS). The transistors turn on at zero voltage, with no turn-on loss. They turn off under a current, but the turn-off loss is minimized using snubber capacitors. The output power is frequency modulated. Lower frequency gets is closer to resonance, resulting in more power.
