to oppose any change in current. You can think of it like the inertia of
electricity.
The higher the inductance the more energy can be stored in the magnetic field.
Also higher inductance values mean that the magnetic field will require more
energy to build up and will persist for longer.
Inductors have many use cases. For example they serve as filters, magnetic field
sensors, relays, antennas, transformers, parts of electric motors or generators and
electromagnets.
