i can only recall one time where I actually fell into that trap. came out of nowhere - so bizarre.
like I'm pretty sure I spent more time that week passively thinking about this girl's hair than I did about eating or sleeping lol.
ultimately it wasn't great. maybe it would have stung less if I let it fade away slowly over time instead of purging it from myself.
