Influencers vs Crafters

Are all crochet influencers scammers? Can you even be a crocheter and an influencer? And if you are, should you be. Morally? Are they a good thing for crochet or a bad thing for crafting in general? Influencer is a label that has masses of negative connotations, for a number of reasons. Influencers are often seen as self interested and shallow at best, and as massive scammers at worst. So let’s chat about whether influencers can first of all be legit crafters, and secondly whether crochet influencers are in reality actually bad for the hobby.
