In this video, you'll learn about using Profile Styles to format longitudinal profiles of gravity and pressure networks created in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D using infraWizard add-in. The profile styles can be used to control the format of longitudinal profiles and define what data to be shown in them. The profile style dialog contains four tabs for settings of the style. The General tab contains options related to general formatting of the profile style, like splitting long profiles, showing crossing and lateral pipes, format of pipe wall, annotations at nodes, vertical exaggeration, and profile grid settings. The Data Bands tab enables you to select the data bands to be shown in the profile and the format of data in them. The Text tab lets you specify the text height and text style for each type of text that appear on the profile. Finally, in the Layers tab, you can select the layer to be used for each component of the profile. This gives you flexibility to define the color and line type of each component by modifying the properties of the layer itself. By using the right format settings in the profile style, you can have the pipe network profiles produced in their final form and eliminate the need for manual formatting after production.
