"I created a Python code project to simplify and visualize the complex mechanics of aligner force application on a single tooth. This theoretical model primarily considers the timeline of days, but many other factors influence tooth displacement and the expression of that displacement within the aligner. Aligners do not operate on a force decay system, where force gradually reduces over time. Instead, they rely on a displacement system, which complicates calculations. Factors such as tooth type, attachment type, bone quality, and its remodeling potential combine with the aligner’s physical properties to maintain consistent force application. While theoretical, this model avoids reducing efficiency to a single timeline parameter, providing a more comprehensive perspective on aligner performance."
