In this episode of Powertrain Perspective, JC Beattie Jr., owner of ATI Performance Products, joins the show. JC starts off with the history of ATI, and then gets into the performance products that ATI makes.
That starts with the Powerglide transmission—not used in standard cars anymore, but still a mainstay of the drag racing world.
"We have 100% brand new parts of the Powerglide. You can get everything made and there's really only a couple pieces that we can't get made in the country that we have to buy from somebody else and use," he says.
He also talks about other transmissions ATI provides parts for, how these parts go to market and are distributed, and what the most popular ATI components are.
