Backup electrical power generators are critical equipment at RAS facilities, but they can sometimes be overlooked. It is important to perform routine backup generator inspections and have your generator serviced regularly. Freshwater Institute SOP for generators includes a checklist of all the things that need weekly inspection, including fuel levels, hours of operation, and the condition of hoses.
