Installing MantisBT in 2025

It’s a local server environment tool primarily for macOS and Windows, used to run Apache, MySQL, and PHP for web development. - 🔍 XAMPP: Stands for Cross-Platform (X), Apache, MariaDB, PHP, Perl. It’s a cross-platform local server environment tool that includes Apache, MariaDB (a MySQL fork), PHP, and Perl for web development. - 🪲 "MantisBT" stands for Mantis Bug Tracker. It is a free, open-source, web-based bug and issue tracking system written in PHP, designed to help software development teams manage and track software defects, tasks, and project issues. It supports multiple databases like MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL and runs on various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS. MantisBT is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). - Caution 🚨: ⚠️ Do not use both XAMPP and MAMP. Only install one at a time. ⚠️ Look out for port issues and Fix them individually. If not possible, reinstall XAMPP or MAMP. ⚠️Problems of MySQL and Apache may persist after a full restart. So reinstall of XAMPP or MAMP is a faster patch for the user. ⚠️ I did not add ID and PASS while installing MantisBT as XAMPP installation comes with MySQL without credentials. But MantisBT sometimes require credentials [ID and PASS for ADMIN and DataBase].
