In this video we'll look at how to install the snap ring, retainer ring, or circlip on the string retainer bar of a Bigsby vibrato.
To do this job with the correct tool you'll need a pair of external snap ring pliers. Just like the ring itself, they can also be called retaining ring pliers, or circlip pliers. These can be found quite inexpensively, if you're into Bigsby vibratos this is a good tool to own. If you've got a friend who is a mechanic you might be able to borrow a pair from them instead.
