In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to install/compile VMD on a Linux (UBUNTU) PC.
Follow the following steps:
1. Download VMD from : https://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/
2. Extract the contents by giving the following command in terminal or just right click and press 'Extract here' option:
tar -zxvf vmd....
3. Go to the extracted directory containing the VMD program.
4. Run the following command:
./configure
5. Go to src directory through terminal:
cd src
6. Compile the program by giving the command:
sudo make install
