Interactive Ableton Live Audio-Visual Template

In this video demonstration Rory PQ explores the inner workings of an interactive Ableton Live Audio-Visual Template he designed for the 9th Annual Backpack Music Festival on Belle Isle, Detroit. Guests of all ages and skill levels will have the opportunity to get creative and hands-on with music, technology, audio/video manipulation, education and more! Essentially, the template is a 3 station playground for guests to come up the the Sub÷Divizion booth and interact with Ableton Live through multiple controllers including the Leap Motion hand gesturing sensor, an APC40, and a keyboard. The 1st station will have an APC40 setup for triggering various audio clips and push button audio effects. The 2nd station will have a Leap Motion hand gesture controller mapped to various audio and video effects that will be projected on a screen. Guests can wave there hands to apply both audio and visual effects. The 3rd station will have a keyboard setup for triggering various vocal and stab samples. Every year music lovers, artists, and families gather on Belle Isle Park to experience Detroit's Musical and Visual artistry, while helping raise funds for an amazing cause that provides free backpacks and various school supplies to families in need.
