Interchangeable Vacuum Lifter for Different-Sized Cylinders

Ergonomic Partners developed and built this custom vacuum lifter to grip, lift, pitch, and rotate different-sized cylinders. Using a quick-disconnect lock pin, users can easily switch between different configurations of vacuum heads for the large or small cylinders they will be lifting. The end effector can be manually rotated 180-degrees with 90-degree indents. The tool is constructed with a steel and aluminum powder-coated frame with a zero-gravity ergonomic floating handlebar and soft grip handles. The controls feature proportional up/down controls, momentary pitch and center of gravity controls, grip/release controls used in conjunction with a common button, an E-stop button, a vacuum level gauge, and an OLED high-resolution display. The tool is suspended from a Gorbel Easy Arm and G-Force Smart Hoist, allowing for ease of movement in the cell. It also features float mode, which allows for precise, easy handling. For added safety, the system also features our gripper safety circuit, which prevents operators from accidentally releasing the parts in mid-air.
