Today I’m fabricating what might be the internet’s cheapest functional vacuum pot — built from scrap parts, a little ingenuity, and a whole lot of stubbornness. If you’ve ever wanted a vacuum chamber for resin, stabilizing wood, degassing, or just experimenting in the shop, this build shows you how far you can push a budget without sacrificing performance.
I’ll walk through the entire process: sourcing parts, modifying a pressure vessel, sealing it properly, testing the gauge, and seeing whether this thing can actually hold vacuum without blowing the bank. Spoiler: the results surprised me.
