This Module takes you step by step through a very powerful method of qualitative research, Interpretive Structure Modelling (ISM). It describes (1) how mental models created by subjects about social phenomenon are captured by ISM, (2) how you can create a specific formal model of relationships utilising responses interpretations and meanings regarding the phenomenon by the subjects, (3) how it can be implemented for carrying out behavioural research. The discussion explains all technical terms in a user friendly manner.
