One layer can usually only be completely above or below another. With this trick, you can weave your layers to make it look like they are tilted three-dimensionally without actually using the 3D features in Photoshop. The key is the Layer Mask Hide Effects checkbox (works with Vector Masks as well). But we won't stop there. We'll start simple so you know how to weave your layers, but then I push it to mega advanced by combining a boat-load of unusual features.
