Intro to IodeOS | Android Forensics 10
Hello YouTube, Matthew Here from Forensics with Matt, and in today's video, I will be talking about installing IodéOS on your compatible Android phone and the features that you will have when you get it on your phone. I will say that this is all open source and I like it that way. No Google means no spying, data leakage and targeted advertising. The biggest feature of IodéOS is the content blocker. This content blocker blocks out malicious links and links to ads by default. It is a great feature that works very well. If you pay for premium (which is €4/mo) you will have the ability to do more with your content blocker, like add custi=om lists and have full control over what it does and what it blocks. When it comes to the apps it comes with, You'll be able to find a great deal of open source apps. The major ones are the Iodé browser (a Firefox fork), the Thunderbird mail client, AudioFX, the F-Droid and Aurora Stores, Magic Earth Maps, and Carnet Notes among other apps. These apps all have their quirks, but I am a fan of trying them out to discover better open source apps. Hopefully you enjoy this video.
