Introducing Banterop: Testing Platform for Language-First Interoperability!

In this video, I provide a quick tour of Banterop, a new reference platform I built to explore "Language-First Interoperability" in healthcare. This work is in preparation for the upcoming HL7 Connectathon in Pittsburgh, where Mark Kramer and I are leading a track focused on using conversational AI agents to automate complex healthcare workflows. The core idea is to move beyond rigid, pre-defined APIs and allow AI agents to negotiate in real-time to figure out what information is needed to complete tasks like prior authorizations, clinical trial screening, and specialist referrals. This platform, Banterop, is a sandbox for making this concept a reality.
