The first part of my introduction to General Relativity, which describes the equivalence principle (both the weak and strong versions of the Equivalence Principle) and how it predicts the bending of light under a uniform gravitational field, which is not predicted by Newton's conventional formulation of gravity. Questions/requests? Let me know in the comments! Pre-reqs: other than 1st year Classical Mechanics, not too many. My series on Special Relativity will be necessary for GR overall, but it's not terribly important for this video alone: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdgVBOaXkb9CkdpdSWT9oPDSvQ8BjjNTq Lecture Notes: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SlLuT_0eSVQUi_SzjkvpybnHPTmcjswv/view?usp=drive_link Special thanks to my Patrons: Matthew Patapom Eugene Bulkin Andy Johnston Lina Stritt Patrick Gibson Joseph Dubeau
